If this had been happening when I was fourteen I would have gone nuts with joy and found a way to go, no matter what. Ziggy Stardust absolutely rocked my world (still does); I was known in my junior high for being that chick who was, like, obsessed with David Bowie, who is David Bowie, that big weirdo. As it is, I can only clap my hands and say yeah! The fact that BowieBall took place at (Le) Poisson Rouge is just icing on the cake, or rouge on the cheek.

Were you to have seen it, you would have been in ultra like-minded company. Le Poisson Rouge indeed attracts no less than than the devoted hard cores, attentive and galvanized, as I witnessed dumbfounded and giddily, a comfortably packed ballroom to what I thought would have been no less a peanut gallery for a niche market ambient electronic show. Press on, ye humble diehards.
Oh well said! Yes, I was looking for that community when I was 14; when I was four, too, probably. We all know who we are. PS, LPR looks to have some completely amazing programming. For such a relatively new venue, they have it down.
