Kissing the Bee was just chosen as one of the New York Public LIbrary’s 2008 Books for the Teen Age, which made me pretty happy when I saw it in my in-box yesterday morning. Thank you, NYPL!

Congratulations! I just read your op-ed piece on censorship. My book deals with censorship as well, using Chris Crutcher’s Ironman as the target. I am so glad I found your page. I will definitely pick up Kissing the Bee!

Thanks, Beth. Glad to hear that you read my NY Times piece - we can’t say it too often, censorship just isn’t the answer to difficult and painful questions and ideas.

Congratulations Kathe! That is quite an honor and I am not surprised. More successes to you! Bravo!

Thank you, Deb - I was very pleased. If it’s OK by the big lions, it *must* be OK!
